Maths

This year in maths class I learn't how to find out different ways of finding out the answer for the maths question. My favourite thing I learn't about was our Needs and wants.Need is the things we need to live with for example we need food and a house.Want is things we would like to get for example I want more shoes and a dirt bike.

The heart

During our science classes we have been learning about the Human heart and what it does to our body. Something I learnt was that there are 2 kinds of blood called oxygenated blood and De-oxygenated. Oxygenated blood carries oxygen and De-oxygenated blood doesn't carry oxygen.I also learn't that the main job for the plasma is to carry all the nutrients and proteins to the places where the body needs it.The funniest part of this experiment was cutting up the heart because it was so slippery and you could just see the 4 chambers and stuff like that. The chamber are 4 sections of the heart called right atrium and left atrium and also has right ventricle and left ventricle.Next year I am looking forward to looking a more hearts and learning more things.

Arataki parade

2 weeks ago the whole school had to watch a group of young students from Arataki do their end of year Arataki march out.The crowd sat in silence waiting for the parade to start. Then suddenly a group of students marching, backs straight looking a bit staunched,Then a group of Arataki students appeared from the distance with matching outfits. Then 3 leaders shouting out their commands and the group of people doing the commands with straight arms and backs,Arms swing up and down like wind mills in the wind. Then their families started clapping and shouting out their daughters or sons names. Then towards the end of the march out they formed 2 lines and marched to the middle of the parking and 2 head commanders and our principal started handing them badges. Then the Arataki performed a haka for the closing of the march out.Strong taka hia(Stamp)and pukana(Facial expression) with eyes right open and hands slapping legs with big red marks. Then they threw there hats up and the parade was finished.
